2020119日,一羣可譽的女孩子換上一襲壯族姑娘色彩斑斕的紅黑衣裙,挽起叮作響的花籃子,參與56屆學校舞蹈節的比賽。這一天共有二十多家長和孩子們一同參與這個盛會。經過長時間的準備,同學們發揮了應有的水準,最終獲得了高年級組中國舞甲級獎,成績令人鼓舞!

比賽期間發生了小插曲,音樂突然停頓,幸好同學們臨場表現鎮定,最終獲得佳績。黃天悅同學提到:音樂停頓時,我們鼓足勇氣繼續比賽當聽到得獎的消息,我們開心得手舞足蹈

每一次經歷,都讓孩子們有着不同的感悟與成長24女孩齊心向着同一目標而揮落汗水。他們學會了承擔的意義,成就了這首青春舞曲。

 


 

 

Dressed in colourful, dazzling Zhuang costumes and carrying a jingling floral basket, a group of our primary school girls competed in The 56th Schools Dance Festival on 19th January, 2020. After ample training and practice, they performed brilliantly and made their parents proud. Honourably, the dance finally helped the team earn the Highly Commended Award.

During the competition, the whole team was calm enough to handle an unexpected accident. A P.5 member, Wong Tin Yuet, recalled, “When the music suddenly stopped, we were not nervous, but plucked up our courage to continue until the end of our dance. Finally, we were overjoyed with the result.”

Every member in the team gained an invaluable experience. They learnt that, only if everyone bears the same responsibility and works towards the same goal, their sweat is never shed in vain.

新界校長會舉辦了「慶祝中華人民共和國成立70周年」學生徵文比賽。可譽小六王瑤同學在是次比賽中小學組亞軍可喜可賀

香港是我們熟悉的家那大家認為甚麼物件能代表我們的家呢王瑤同學想出了「霓虹燈」。她認為香港的霓虹招牌正逐漸消失她想把霓虹燈放在天宮二號太空站待八十周年國慶時取出為這別具意義的歷史符號賦以獨特的價值

        作為香港的一份子,王瑤認為自己有責任去保存香港獨有的文化。透過這個徵文比賽,王瑤積極表達霓虹燈與香港文化的關係,希望能盡一己之力,把香港獨特的一面保留並推廣出去。


To celebrate the 70th Anniversary of the Founding of The People’s Republic of China, New Territories School Heads Association organized a Chinese essay writing competition. We are pleased to announce that our P.6 student, Wang Yao, has won second place in the Primary Section.

Hong Kong is our beloved home. What can we symbolize it with? Wang Yao thought of ‘neon lights’ when she thought of Hong Kong. Neon lights are a shining example of Hong Kong’s heritage though it is gradually disappearing in the city. In her essay, she desired to place the neon lights onto China's Tiangong-2, a prototype of a space station, and take them back at the 80th Anniversary. This, she believed, should make the history more remarkable and meaningful.

As a Hongkonger, Wang Yao recognizes the importance of the cultural heritage and feels responsible for preserving it as far as she can. She hopes that by writing about the relationship between neon lights and Hong Kong, she can help raise people’s awareness and promote the need of preservation to the public.

 

 

 

        可譽推行自主學習多年,老師們求學的步伐沒有停止,在201911月,梁惠芳校長帶領可譽6位老師,參加了由李雪英校長作領隊的「嗇色園聯校台灣適性學習考察團」,觀摩台灣的教育發展。

吸引著老師前往台灣的原因來自「適性教學」的概念與發展完善的「因材網」。「適性教學」指老師因應學生能力與學習需要,課堂作出適當調整,而台灣的「因材網」能配合當地教學的需要。經過幾天的參觀交流活動,幾位老師參考了「因材網」的概念,思考著能否遷移到可譽的教學。

        我們有一點慶幸,慶幸於可譽教師之間早已有共享資源、共同備課的文化。我們還在日常課堂採用不同的網上教學系統,收集學生的學習數據。加上學校提供不同的硬件和軟件配套,能有效地讓老師教學,讓學生學習。雖然「因材網」不存在於可譽,但是我們會參考其理念,嘗試發展可譽獨有的學習網絡。

        教育之路無邊無際,我們作為老師有所承擔,努力在路上探索。


 

As active learners, Ho Yu teachers grasp every opportunity to enrich their knowledge of different aspects. Led by the former principal Lee Suet Ying and Principal Leung Wai Fong, six teachers attended a study tour to Taiwan aiming to explore the mode of ‘Student Adaptive Learning’ and education development in Taiwan in November, 2019.

The concept of ‘adaptive instruction’ to cater to learners’ diversity and learning needs appealed to the teachers immensely. Learning about the concept of ‘Student Adaptive Learning’ which has been successfully adopted in Taiwan, teachers would examine the possibility and feasibility of its implementation at Ho Yu. 

Ho Yu has already met the most essential criteria for adopting the learning mode, such as shared resources, common periods, computer hardware and software, online platforms and data collection of students’ learning progress. With successful experience and positive feedback from teachers in Taiwan, Ho Yu teachers will continue to explore and develop a unique and effective learning approach which fits students’ needs and abilities.

在去年10月,幾位可譽同學參加了由民政事務處43夜上海杭州交流團在旅程中,同學們親身體驗當地獨特的文化。除了遊覽當地的著名景點,同學們還參觀了汽車公司總部,見識了在香港難得一見的重工業。在港商投資的上海環貿iapm商場二十國集團峰會的會場,同學們感受到經全球化的急速發展,並為當地的成就而驚嘆。

同學們有幸到訪當地中學及著名的上海交通大學透過觀課體育競賽和模擬畢業等活動,同學們體驗上海學生的生活。中四級余詠琪同學十分欣賞上海的教育,她認為上海的物理課比香港深奧很多,學生上課時非常安靜和認真。但是,她更喜歡活潑又互多的香港課堂,慨嘆內地學生的考試壓力頗大。

這次上海之旅讓同學增廣見聞了解內地的文化與經水平,而作為香港未來的主人翁,同學們更省思的優和不足,期望透過積極裝備自己,將來在不同範疇能為香港的發展出一分力。


 

In October, 2019, our students joined a four-day study tour to Hangzhou, Shanghai. Organized by the District Office, the tour provided an opportunity for the participants to experience the unique culture of Hangzhou. Besides exploring some famous tourist attractions, our students also paid visits to different places. At the headquarter of an automobile company, they enriched their knowledge about distinctive heavy industries which they rarely come across in Hong Kong. Through visiting Huanmao iapm Mall and the venue of G20 Leaders Summit, students realized the fast globalisation of the world economy and were amazed by the achievements of the local community. 

During the trip, our students also got involved in class observation, sports competitions and mock graduation activities at various institutions including several high schools and Shanghai Jiao Tong University. After experiencing local students’ life, one of our S.4 students, Yu Wing Kei, showed appreciation towards the education system of Shanghai, particularly the Physics curriculum. While most Hong Kong students are active and communicative, she observed that the mainland students are highly attentive in class and they are under even greater exam pressure. 

Without a doubt, the tour enabled our students to widen their horizons and have a deeper understanding of the cultural and financial developments of Shanghai. It was such a rewarding trip which inspired students to equip themselves to prepare for the challenges ahead and contribute to a better Hong Kong in the near future.

由扶康會主辦,「樂建共融」第十五屆電能烹飪比賽已完滿結束,這個比賽提倡傷健共融,讓智障人士與社會大眾建立友誼。

可譽三位中五同學在928日參加了比賽,他們與智障人士組成一隊,一同烹調美食。在比賽過程中,同學與智障人士充分地交流,分工合作,同學從中了解到智障人士的能力,學會彼此尊重和欣賞。

可譽安排不同的體驗,讓同學學會關愛的精神。關愛他人,不應該局限於自己的生活圈子,而是從最親近的人開始,推廣至社區,乃至國家、世界。參加「樂建共融」烹飪比賽,可譽同學盡一己之力幫助身邊有需要的人,發揮可譽「普濟」的精神。同學為建立共融社會,又出了一分力

 

We took part in the 15th Inclusive Electric Cooking Competition organized by Fu Hong Society. This event aims to build a harmonious society and walk together on the path to inclusion.

In the competition, three of our secondary 5 students teamed up with intellectually challenged team members to cook delicious meals together. With good teamwork, our students learned the importance of respecting and appreciating others.

Hoping to build a socially inclusive society, plenty of opportunities are always given to our students to show love and care to their family, their school, the society as well as the world. By joining this cooking competition, students helped people in need in the community and realised our school motto ‘to act benevolently’.

  可譽於過去多年,透過「家長也科研」親子STEM比賽,讓幼稚園及小學家長與子女一起進行實驗,享受科研之樂。每年比賽參與者眾,反應熱烈。在今年暑假,我們舉辦了第十一屆親子STEM比賽,主題是「決戰乒乓」。這個活動既能培養孩子科學探究的精神,又能讓其享受親子時光。

         獲得「美學大獎及科研大獎」的馮善盈同學認為,看到研究了一個多月的作品成功發射,她感到十分興奮。在比賽期間,能夠觀摩其他參賽作品,她眼界大開。獲得「競速大獎」的蔡津仁、蔡洛仁同學,自幼稚園三年級便參加「家長也科研」比賽,參賽經驗相當豐富。他們感謝爸爸媽媽花不少時間和心思,協助他們製作乒乓發射器。駱隼謙同學與家人一起研究如何提高發射器的準確度,經過不斷的試驗,隼謙與爸爸完成了作品,最後獲得神槍手大獎

         以上獲獎的同學,與父母一起研究科學,把科學帶到家中。是他們對於科研的堅持,讓他們探索到科學的奧妙。我們總相信,孩子在成長路上從探索知識,到認識自己,從而找到興趣以及人生方向,他們的發展定必能走上學習的正軌,朝向終身學習的方向。


 

We have been organising the “Science@Home” Parent-child Competition for many years to enable students and their parents to jointly design and conduct experiments, and share the joy of science. Students of kindergartens and primary schools have been invited to participate in the event with their parents. The number of participants grows every year. This year, our theme of the competition was “Ping Pong Shooter”.

Fung Sin Ying, the recipient of both the ‘Aesthetics Award’ and ‘Science Research Award’, was excited to see the shooter work after testing for a month. She also thought that the competition was an eye-opener as it provided a platform for participants to share their experiences and learn from one another. The winners of the ‘Speed Award’, Choy Jun Yan and Choy Lok Yan, have been participating since primary 3. This pair of experienced contestants expressed gratitude to their parents and thanked them for their time, effort and support. Lok Chun Him Cedric worked closely with his family, improved the accuracy of the shooter after some trial and error, and finally received the ‘Best Shooter Award’.

This competition encourages students and parents to collaborate and conduct experiments at home and explore the wonders of Science. The competition has not only enriched their knowledge, but also helped them develop a better understanding of themselves including their interests and life goals. We believe it is definitely a way to become lifelong learners.

一年一度的學生會選舉圓滿結束。兩個候選內閣OasisDelta進行了精彩的宣激烈的辯論,最終由中小學同學一人一票選出Oasis新一屆學生會內閣。在未來一年,Oasis本著「服務同學,創新突破」的理念,帶給同學多姿多彩的校園生活,成為可譽同學心中的綠洲。

會長房子軒認為團結內閣成員有一定的難度:「我們的閣員有一半是互不認識的溝通比較困難而且我們也不了解對的特點子軒盡力嘗試,就閣員專長分配崗位,最終Oasis各成員能夠各司其職,最終在選舉勝出。子軒認為,的關鍵是堅持

Two proposed cabinets of the Students’ Union, Oasis and Delta, had undergone heated debates and carried out promotional strategies before the former won in the election campaign. Students of the whole school exercised the suffrage of 'one person, one vote' and selected Oasis, the winning cabinet. Holding a belief ‘Serving fellow students, proposing innovation breakthroughs’, Oasis hopes to lead the students to a wonderful school life.

The President of Students’ Union, Fong Tsz Hin, found team building among the cabinet members very challenging. ‘At the beginning, we didn’t know much about each other; it took us a long time to better our communication and explore our strengths and weaknesses,’ Fong said. Despite the difficulties, they were able to skillfully distribute the workload, perform their best and win the election eventually.

The critical success factor of Oasis is undoubtedly their spirit of ‘never give up’. Keeping this in mind, they will help fight for more benefits for their fellow students such as shops’ special discounts offered to Ho Yu students, and accomplish their plans accordingly.
